This is a big deal to me. When I started this blog I just wanted to create a useful resource for people in a similar situation to me: people who tend to only play 2-player games unless it’s a special occasion and a larger group is available.
I worried nobody would read, that I’d have nothing to write about, that I’d never be able to afford enough games to keep this blog up. And I still worry about all of these things. Just not quite as much! One thing I’m less worried about is whether people will read. To anyone checking this post out, you’ve been awesome.
Since last August my little blog has notched up more than 1,500 views. Sure, this isn’t up there with any of the well-known board gaming sites or blogs, but that’s not what I was aiming for.
If just a couple of people go out and try a game based on something I’ve written, then the blog has been a success.
Along the way I’ve had some great fun learning some cool new games, interviewed a couple of game designers and got to know a great new hobby.
So thanks to all of you. You really have been awesome. Feel free to get in touch to tell me what you’d like to see from the second year of my blog. I’m looking at ways to keep the reviews fresh, and give them a new style, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
